HUNTINGTON -- A Proctorville woman is suing Par Mar Oil Company after she claims they caused her family member's injuries.
On Sept. 9, 2011, Roy Adkins was a business invitee of the defendant's, according to a complaint filed Jan. 4 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Patricia King claims the defendant was responsible for Adkins' injuries by failing to properly secure and fasten all rugs and allowing hazardous conditions in the convenience store.
The defendant breached its duty to Adkins and caused him to endure physical pain and mental suffering, according to the suit.
King is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by Dennis E. Kelley.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul T. Farrell.
