HUNTINGTON -- A South Point, Ohio, woman is suing Cabell Huntington Hospital after she claims she was injured while under the hospital's care.
Cabell Huntington Hospital Regional Pain Management Center and Dr. Rehan Memon were also named as defendants in the suit.
Betty Craig was receiving treatment for back pain from the defendants and was receiving an injection for back pain when she passed out and fell to the ground because she was not properly placed for treatment, nor was she properly protected by Memon, according to a complaint filed Jan. 5 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Craig claims the defendants were negligent in caring for her.
The defendants caused Craig's injuries and caused her to sustain physical and mental pain and suffering; a diminution in her capacity to enjoy life; embarrassment; humiliation; annoyance and inconvenience; and expenses for traveling, medical treatments and hospital visits, according to the suit.
Craig is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by R. Stephen Jarrell.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
