Woman sues Ian Enterprises for father's injuries

CHARLESTON -- A woman is suing Ian Enterprises for injuries her father sustained from a fall.

On Jan. 11, 2010, Douglas Lee Snodgrass exited the rear point of the Millennium Building and walked down a slope to the parking area, according to a complaint filed Jan. 9 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Deborah M. Elswick claims Snodgrass slipped and fell while approaching the parking area and broke his left femur, which required surgery, and caused him to be unable to function as usual until his death.

The defendant was negligent in failing to keep the parking lot clear, according to the suit.

Elswick is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by David K. Hendrickson, H. Jerome Sparks and Patrick E. McFarland.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib Jr.
