* On Feb. 20, 2008, Doneff was incarcerated in the holding facility in the Cabell County Sheriff's Department. While Doneff and the other prisoners were being moved to the courthouse for their hearings, one of the guards made remarks to her of a sexual nature and engaged in sexual harassment, then proceeded to shove her, which caused her to fall to the floor and become injured, according to the suit. Doneff claims she employed Adams, who is an attorney, to represent her against the Sheriff's Department for her injuries, but he negligently allowed the limitation period to expire without filing the suit. Doneff is seeking compensatory damages with interest.

* On May 13, 2011, the defendant constructed two blow-off lines in preparation for hooking up water service to a new house being built in the subdivision owned by the Blankenships. The Blankenships claim on June 10, 2011, they informed the defendant that water was running from one of the lines and were told it would be shut off. On June 23, 2011, it was discovered the lines were still running and caused property damage. The Blankenships are seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

On Jan. 12, 2006, the infant developed hyperglycemia and went unmonitored and untreated for many days, resulting in ketoacidosis and profound brain damage. Christina Crouse is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Louis Helmberg vs. the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, Inc. of Huntington, W.Va., a fraternal organization; and Travis Hughes

* On May 1, 2011, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the fraternity was having a house party and Hughes became intoxicated and while attempting to "shoot bottle rockets out of his anon on the ATO deck," according to the suit. When doing so, Hughes startled Helmberg, who then jumped back and fell off of the deck of the fraternity house and was injured. Helmberg is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
