* On June 28, 2010, Carey entered into an agreement with T.S. Mining wherein he would loan the company $100,000 and T.S. Mining was required to repay him the sum of $100,000, plus an additional sum of $100,000 within three business days after it received funding of at least $3 million. Carey claims the defendant was additionally required to repay 2 percent of its net after-tax income for a period of 10 years. T.S. Mining has failed to abide by the promissory note. Carey is seeking compensatory damages.

* On Jan. 6, 2010, Dillon was a guest passenger in a vehicle being driven on U.S. Route 52 in Wayne County. Dillon claims Robertson was driving a B.J.A. Trucking vehicle when he negligently operated the vehicle and caused a vehicle accident in which she was injured. Dillon is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.

Aaron S. Fitzpatrick vs. Wayne County Commission, Cabell County Commission, Western Regional Day Report Center, Community Criminal Justice Board and Tom Blevins

* On Feb. 5, 2011, Fitzpatrick and other participants in the Western Regional Day Report Center were placed under the control and supervision of Blevins. He claims later that day, Blevins directed him to work on adding tool racks to a WRDRC tool trailer by removing wooden tool racks that were nailed to the walls of the garage by pulling out the nails that secured the boards. While pulling on a nail, it broke and embedded in Fitzpatrick's eye, according to the suit. Fitzpatrick claims Blevins refused to provide or obtain medical treatment. Fitzpatrick is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
