Raleigh woman sues bank for age discrimination

CHARLESTON -- A Raleigh County woman is suing First Century Bank Shares for age discrimination.

Margot A. Bower was employed by the defendant from Jan. 2, 2008, until Oct. 12, 2011, according to a complaint filed Jan. 25 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Bower claims her termination of employment was motivated in while or in part by her age.

The defendant, in an attempt to make Bower resign from her position, changed her work conditions, according to the suit.

Bower claims when she refused to resign her employment, First Century terminated her employment.

The defendant wrongfully terminated Bower's employment based on her age and createa hostile work environment in an attempt to get her to resign from her employment, according to the suit.

Bower is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented by John Einreinhofer.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
