CHARLESTON -- A Kanawha County woman is suing Bob Evans Farms, Inc., after she was injured on its premises.
Store No. 24, Cory Pope and Arrow Uniform-Taylor, LLC were also named as defendants in the suit.
On Dec. 21, 2009, Bobbi K. Glock was injured when she tripped on an upturned edge of a mat on the defendants' premises, according to a complaint filed Feb. 1 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Glock claims the defendants had a duty to remove any hazardous condition or to give warning of any unsafe condition known to them or which might reasonably have been foreseen.
The defendants exposed Glock to an inherently dangerous condition on its premises at the entrance to the restaurant at the take out food pick up area, according to the suit.
Glock claims when she tripped on the upturned edge of the map, she put her hand out to catch herself, which caused her to injure her left wrist and badly bruise her right knee.
The defendant caused Glock to sustain pain and suffering; loss of enjoyment of life; medical expenses; loss of wages; loss of earning capacity; loss of ability to provide household services; and permanent residual problems, according to the suit.
Glock is seeking compensatory damages. She is being represented by J. Timothy DiPiero.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Jennifer Bailey.
