Wood Co. couple sues Chrysler for defective vehicle

CHARLESTON -- A Wood County couple is suing Chrysler Group after they claim a vehicle they purchased was defective.

Astorg Ford Lincoln-Mercury of Parkersburg Inc. was also named as a defendant in the suit.

On Jan. 3, 2011, Charles and Hiatt Wolfe purchased a 2010 Dodge Charger, according to a complaint filed Feb. 6 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

The Wolfes claim they returned the vehicle to the defendants for repair at least four times, but the defendants failed to repair the vehicle so as to bring it into conformity with its warranties.

The defendants failed and refused to provide a comparable replacement vehicle and to reimburse the Wolfes pursuant to their rights under West Virginia law, according to the suit.

The Wolfes are seeking revocation of acceptance of the vehicle; refund of the purchase price of the vehicle; and compensatory and punitive damages. They are being represented by Cameron S. McKinney and David L. Grubb.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
