Matthew A. Casto vs. the Board of Education of the County of Kanawha a/k/a the Kanawha County Board of Education

* In November 2009 Casto visited Ben Franklin, who works for the defendant, to learn more about the Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance training program for adult students. Casto claims the instructor, Kenneth W. Johnson, subjected him and other students to racially discriminatory conduct and after the students made complaints, Johnson threatened them. * On Dec. 6, 2011, Raines claims while he was driving east on U.S. 60 and approaching the intersection of Jonquil Drive, Bowe, who was employed by Medford, failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic and pulled into the path of his vehicle, causing injuries. Raines is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Motley is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

James River claims the defendants incurred a substantial outstanding account balance in the amount of $76,063.21 and has failed and refused to make payment. James River is seeking judgment in the amount of at least $66,373.55, plus continuing pre-judgment interest at the rate of 1.5 percent per month and post-judgment interest.
