WAYNE -- Ernie Colegrove Construction, LLC is suing American National Rubber Plant after it claims the company owes more than $20,000 for work done.
On July 27, 2011, the defendant entered into a contract with Ernie Colegrove Construction where the defendant agreed to pay $35,992 in return for Colegrove to install a new roof for the defendant, according to a complaint filed Jan. 31 in Wayne Circuit Court.
Colegrove claims on Aug. 11, 2011, American signed a supplemental contract for additional work to be done in the amount of $7,076.03.
Despite repeated requests for payment by Colegrove, American has refused to pay a substantial portion as of Jan. 25, according to the suit.
Colegrove claims the defendant failed and refused to pay $20,593.03 of the amount owed.
Ernie Colegrove Construction is seeking damages in the amount of $20,593.03 with interest. It is being represented by Shawn Bartram.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Darrell Pratt.
