* As part of the Inwood sewer project, the Huntington Sanitary Board installed a sewer line behind the home owned by the Casertas. On April 1, 2011, the entire back of the Casertas' yard gave way and the yard and hillside collapsed. The Casertas are seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Marian V. Moreland vs. West Virginia-American Water Company, Nancy Lee Bates James, Frank James and Does 1-25

* On July 16, 2011, the water main broke, allowing a large amount of water to escape, causing damage to Moreland's wall, driveway and real estate. Moreland claims the defendants utilized the wrong water pipe for installation of the water main in the subdivision, which lead to or contributed to the water line failure. Moreland is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Nicholas A. Nutini, Sarah-Brooke M. Nutini and Michele R. Nutini vs. MSG Properties, LLC d/b/a Silver City and Catherine Green

* On June 12, 2010, Nicholas Nutini and Sarah-Brooke Nutini were married and the reception was held at the Frederick Building and following the wedding reception, the celebration continued at the Silver City club. The plaintiffs claim at closing time, a Silver City staff member approached Sarah-Brook Nutini, while still in her wedding dress on the dance floor and yelled "Get the (expletive) out you stupid tanned bitch," and an argument ensued between the staff member and the wedding party. The Silver City staff attempted to forcibly remove the wedding party and assaulted Sarah-Brooke Nutini, according to the suit. The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
