CHARLESTON -- Yellowbook Sales & Distribution Co., Inc., is suing the Lord Law Firm after it claims the law firm failed to pay more than $20,000 for advertisements.

Sharon McKeny Lord and Greg R. Lord were also named as defendants in the suit.

From Dec. 22, 2006, until Feb. 1, 2008, the defendants entered into advertising agreements with Yellowbook in order to be listed in its publication, according to a complaint filed April 9 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Yellowbook claims it has demanded payment and has made numerous attempts to receive payment for the advertisements.

Despite the numerous demands for payment, the defendants have failed and refused to pay for the advertisements, according to the suit.

Yellowbook is seeking judgment in the amount of $20,771 with interest at a rate of 7 percent per annum. It is being represented by John R. Keating.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
