CHARLESTON -- The West Virginia University-Mountaineer Athletic Club 1100 Club will host a football recruiting event July 27.
The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Charleston Marriott, is free to 1100 Club members and $150 for guests.
Charleston attorney Harry Bell, who is helping organize the event, says great prizes will be available. For example, the options for prizes for the raffle are a Porsche Boxster, an Audi Q5 Quattro, a Toyota Tundra CrewMax or $40,000.
WVU football Coach Dana Holgorsen and his staff will attend, and there will be a raffle with tickets at $100.
The reception and auction and raffle begin at 6:30 p.m., and the Santa Crus Band plays at 9:30 p.m. Heavy hors d'oeurvres and refreshments will be served.
"There also will be other silent auction and live auction items which are so sweet no WVU football fan can resist," Bell said.
He said the event will sell out, noting it's a chance to meet the WVU football coaching staff. And the money goes to help recruiting expenses through the MAC.
Bell said those interested can send him checks made payable to WVU MAC-1100 Club for the $100 raffle tickets, which you don't have to be present to win) and for admission tickets of $150 for non-members. His address is: Harry F. Bell Jr., The Bell Law Firm, P.O. Box 1723, 30 Capitol St., Charleston, WV 25326-1723.
