* Plaintiffs allege the defendant companies are responsible for damages sustained July 2, 2010, when water began running down the walls of their home's entryway and dining room because the emergency or secondary drain line from the home's air conditioning unit failed to work properly. AB Contracting built the home, and Callihan was a subcontractor. They seek joint and several compensatory damages for the cost of repair and cleanup in the amount of $42,048.66 plus court costs and pre-judgment interest.

* On July 19, 2010, State Farm customer Danny Cossin's Jacuzzi Espree bathtub located in his upstairs bathroom of his home in Red House failed, discharging water that damaged the home and its contents. Cummings Builders and Lewis Plumbing were contracted to install the Jacuzzi. State Farm paid $5,891.81 to Cossin for damages, and it seeks that amount jointly and severally from the defendants. It also seeks interest and costs.

* The plaintiff says he was employed as a custodian by Office & Commercial Cleaning to clean Kanawha Stone's property at the Rock Branch Industrial Park for several years. On Nov. 7, 2011, he says he was falsely accused of stealing a laptop computer, and Kanawha Stone claimed to have video of him stealing it. He denied the theft and asked to see the video, but he says Kanawha Stone refused to show the video to him. He says the defendant also was successful in having him terminated. He claims tortious interference with employment as well as libel and slander. He seeks back pay and lost employment benefits as well as reinstatement to former employment or front pay in lieu of reinstatement; compensatory damages for embarrassment, emotional distress and mental anguish; punitive damages for intentional and willful violation, attorney fees, court costs and other relief.
