PERSONNEL FILE: Suver joins Steptoe & Johnson

HUNTINGTON -- Steptoe & Johnson has announced that Jami K. Suver has become Of Counsel to the firm. Suver joins the firm’s labor and employment group and will practice out of the Huntington W.Va. office.

Suver joins the firm after spending nearly seven years as the Director of Acquisitions for King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. Prior to that position, she served 15 years as Senior Counsel for Ashland Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturing and chemical distribution company. Suver began her legal career in Columbus, Ohio, at the firm Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP.

During her legal career, Suver has advised and trained employees on compliance with healthcare laws, corporate policies and records management and reviewed, negotiated and drafted complex contracts for publicly-traded and private corporations. She has considerable experience in drafting and negotiating physician employment agreements, real property leases, exclusive provider agreements and clinical research agreements.

Suver earned her B.A. from Ohio University and her J.D. from George Washington University.
