CHARLESTON – Several county courts across the state are closed Tuesday because of the effects of Hurricane Sandy, heavy rains, wind and snowstorms.
Please note, these are courts that are closed. That doesn’t necessarily mean the county courthouse is closed. Please call ahead if you need to go to these courthouses.
Those county courts closed are: Barbour, Braxton, Clay, Greenbrier, Jefferson, Lewis, McDowell, Mercer, Morgan, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Preston, Raleigh, Randolph, Taylor, Upshur and Webster.
The state Supreme Court has created a page on its website with a county-by-county list. It can be found at http://www.courtswv.gov/public-resources/press/court-closures.html.
