CHARLESTON -- Another non-profit group is weighing in on West Virginia’s Attorney General race.

The American Future Fund has spent more than $482,000 in the waning days of the campaign on advertising to support Patrick Morrisey in his race against incumbent Democrat Darrell McGraw.

The AFF has made four independent expenditures since Oct. 25, according to the West Virginia Secretary of State’s website. The television ads apparently are running across the state, but not in the Charleston-Huntington market.

The ad can be seen online.

“West Virginia needs an attorney general who will fight Obama and job-killing Washington regulations,” the narrator says in the 30-second ad. He goes on to talk about Morrisey’s “plan to stop EPA overreach and save West Virginia jobs.”

The narrator also talks about Morrisey’s background on fighting Obamacare and drafting Medicare laws. He also says Morrisey will fight Obama’s war on coal “tooth, nail and then some.”

The American Future Fund is a 501(c)(4) says it is a multi-state issues advocacy group formed “to provide Americans with a conservative and free market viewpoint to have a mechanism to communicate and advocate on the issues that most interest and concern them,” according to the group’s website.

The election is Nov. 6.
