* J.J.O., based in Mentor, Ohio, says the defendant, based in Martinsburg, performed construction work for it in Poca as a subcontractor. It says the defendant failed to complete the concrete work according to project plans and cracked, being deemed unacceptable. It was forced to find another subcontractor to remove the concrete and re-pour it. J.J.O. seeks compensatory damages of at least $25,000, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees, court costs and other relief.

* HMLP says the defendants have defaulted on their lease. As of Oct. 25, it says the total amount due for rentals and other charges is $37,192.23 and late charges due total $168,400. Interest on the amount due is $4,062.71. So the total due is $209,654.94 It also seeks ejectment from the premises.

* The defendants leased a location in Putnam Village on May 3, 2012. But by August, Mattress Mart hadn’t opened and said it intended to breach the lease. On Aug. 27, the plaintiff notified Adkins of minimum rent due. It seeks joint and several damages for past due rent, future rent owed, poast due and future Common Area Maintenance payments, incidental and consequential damages, attorney fees, court costs and other relief.
