Man sues Quality Magnetite for reckless driver

WAYNE -- A Pritchard man is suing Quality Magnetite after he was injured because of one of its employees.

The unknown employee, called John Doe in the suit, was also named as a defendant.

On March 1, 2011, Randy Jackson was involved in an accident that rendered his vehicle inoperable on the roadway of U.S. 52, according to a complaint filed Nov. 26 in Wayne Circuit Court.

Jackson claims Doe, who was operating a vehicle owned by Quality, came upon the accident scene at an extremely excessive speed, failed to maintain control of his vehicle and ran into a 2000 Chevrolet S10, which caused that vehicle to collide with Jackson’s vehicle and cause him extensive injuries.

As a result of the defendants’ negligent and reckless conduct, Jackson received injuries to his body and mind; sustained physical and mental pain and suffering’ suffered from diminished capacity to enjoy life; lost past and future wages, earning capacity, household services, annoyance, inconvenience, humiliation and embarrassment; and incurred expenses for medical treatment and hospital care, according to the suit.

Jackson is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Kenneth P. Hicks and Debra A. Nelson.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James H. Young Jr.
