* Complaint seeks jury judgment joint and severally against defendants, claiming wrongful death of Jennings Ferguson, a pedestrian struck by a vehicle traveling north on WV Route 10 near Midkiff on Sept. 24, 2011. Suit claims Robert Cochran negligently permitted Charlie G. Hall to drive his vehicle with knowledge that Hall did not have a driver's license. Description of mishap has Hall following a vehicle across centerline and fatally striking decedent "in the South lane of WV State Route 10." Patrick Ferguson wants funeral and related expenses; damages for sorrow, mental anguish and solace suffered; litigation costs; and pre-judgment interest on special damages. Charleston Attorney R. Ford Francis filed answer to complaint Jan. 11, noting, "The injuries and damages of which Plaintiff complains, if any, were not caused in any way by any wrongful or other act of the Defendant."
