CHARLESTON - Hendrickson & Long, PLLC is pleased to welcome Gene W. Bailey II and Christopher S. Arnold as attorneys to the firm.
Arnold joined the firm’s litigation practice. He focuses his practice in the areas of general insurance defense litigation, personal injury, premises liability, products liability, and environmental law and toxic torts. Arnold obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Judge John A. Field, Jr. American Inn of Court and the Kanawha County Bar Association. Arnold served as an officer for five years with the Kanawha County Bar Association, concluding with a term as President. He has also worked with a consulting firm that combined technological, linguistic and legal analysis to bolster the electronic discovery practices of attorneys nationwide.
Bailey’s practice is focused on construction law, fidelity and surety law, business and commercial litigation as well as safety and health law. Bailey received his undergraduate degree from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., and his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he was Senior Articles Editor of the West Virginia University Law Review and Staff Member of the Journal of College and University Law.
He is also a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General School. Bailey served for 26 years in both the U.S. Army and the West Virginia Air National Guard, last holding the position of State Judge Advocate. Bailey is a member of the American Bar Association (Construction Industry Forum and Fidelity and Surety Committee), West Virginia State Bar (Chair, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee), DRI and Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia.
