HUNTINGTON – A Huntington man is suing the owner of three dogs that he claims attacked him while he was installing siding on a residence.
On May 18, Ralph Collins was working and installing siding on Greg Flora’s residence, according to a complaint filed Jan. 29 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Collins claims while he was working on the backyard installing siding, someone inside Flora’s home released his three dogs into the yard, unrestrained, and the dogs began to lunge at him and bite him.
In order to escape the dogs, Collins had to scale a chain-link fence, according to the suit.
Collins claims Flora owned, cared for and/or was responsible for the three animals and was the owner of the residence he was working on when he was attacked by the dogs.
As a result of the attack, Collins suffered injuries about his body and mind; physical and mental pain and suffering; a diminution in his capacity to enjoy life; lost wages; annoyance and inconvenience; scarring and disfigurement; expenses for traveling; medical treatment; and hospital care, according to the suit.
Collins is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Kenneth P. Hicks.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge David M. Pancake.
