Goldenliving Center accused of failing to timely pay final wages

CHARLESTON – A former employee is suing Goldenliving Center after she claims it failed to pay her final wages in a timely manner.

Beverly Enterprises-West Virginia, Inc., is doing business as Goldenliving Center.

Deborah Dooley was employed by the defendant from Oct. 24-Nov. 1, according to a complaint filed Jan. 31 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Dooley claims the defendant failed to pay her final wages within 72 hours.

The defendant’s actions violated the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act and caused Dooley to suffer damages, according to the suit.

Dooley is seeking compensatory and liquidated damages. She is being represented by J. Michael Ranson, Cynthia M. Ranson, George B. Morrone III and G. Patrick Jacobs.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
