BRIDGEPORT – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is expanding its presence in the Lone Star State with the opening of its second Houston location.
The new office will be located in The Woodlands and will serve the firm’s U.S. and international energy clients.
The new office will work in tandem with the current location in downtown Houston to focus on serving energy producers working mid-continent shale plays like the Bakken and Eagle Ford as well as the Marcellus and Utica shales in the Appalachian Basin.
In addition to serving domestic clients, the firm’s International Energy Team will be based in The Woodlands office along with attorneys specializing in oil and gas title matters. In total, the office will house 30 members of the Steptoe & Johnson Energy Law Team.
"Houston is the energy hub for the entire nation,” Energy Team Leader Sharon Flanery said. “Opening a second office there allows clients increased access to our energy team and accomplishes a part of our long-term goal of expanding the firm’s mid-continent presence.”
Attorney Andrew Graham will relocate from the firm’s Morgantown office to serve as Managing Member of the new location. He will oversee day-to-day operations and help ensure consistency between the firm’s operations in Texas and Appalachia.
Steptoe & Johnson has offices in Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia.
