*Alessandrini purchased an insurance policy from the defendant on Jan. 1, 2012. On Jan. 7, 2012, Alessandrini suffered a stroke, which he says was a covered benefit under his insurance policy. He claims the defendant denied him coverage. Alessandrini is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Ralph Collins vs. Greg Flora

*On May 18, Collins was working and installing siding on Flora’s residence. He claims while he was working in the backyard installing siding, someone inside Flora’s home released his three dogs into the yard, unrestrained, and the dogs began to lunge at him and bite him. Collins is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.

Ashleigh J. Tarpley vs. Shawn Shumbera and Psychological Assessment & Intervention Services, Inc.

*Psychological Assessment & Intervention Services was providing healthcare-related services to Shumbera. On April 10, 2011, Tarpley, who was employed by PAIS and was working with Shumbera, he attacked her, detained and held her against her will and stabbed her with a knife while she was working with him in his apartment, she says. Tarpley claims PAIS was aware of Shumbera’s violent tendencies and failed to inform her. Tarpley is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.

Joan Farley, guardian/custodian of Jesse Beaman, an infant vs. Jeff Hanichan

*On Jan. 31, 2011, Beaman walked up to the door of Hanichan’s residence and knocked. When he did so, another child opened the door and a dog that was owned by Hanichan rushed out and attacked him, he says. Farley is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest and for the dog to be humanely euthanized.
