CHARLESTON - Mercantile Realty Inc. is suing Tree Dollar LLC and Pin Oak Properties for failing to pay for brokerage services in the amount of $45,000.

D. Stephen Fansler was also named as a defendant in the suit.

Mercantile Realty provided the defendants with real estate brokerage services pursuant to a letter agreement dated Feb. 22, 2012, according to a complaint filed March 14 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

The defendants owe Mercantile Realty $45,000 for the real estate brokerage services, according to the suit.

Mercantile claims Fansler personally guaranteed that Tree Dollar and Pin Oak would pay for the real estate brokerage services.

Despite repeated requests for payment, the defendants have failed and refused to pay for the services provided, according to the suit.

Mercantile is seeking judgment in the amount of $45,000 with interest. It is being represented by W. Bradley Sorrells of Robinson & McElwee.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Louis H. Bloom.
