CHARLESTON - A man is suing Sun Healthcare Group Inc. after he claims it was negligent in caring for his wife.
Sabra Health Care REIT Inc.; SHG Services Inc.; Sunbridge Healthcare Corporation; Sunbridge Care Enterprises Inc.; Sunbridge Mountain Care Management Inc.; Atlantic Financial Group; Roger Davis; John Does 1 through 10; and Unidentified Entities 1 through 10 (as to New Martinsville Healthcare Center) were also named as defendants in the suit.
On April 20, 2011, Sarah Bunting was admitted to New Martinsville Healthcare Center, where she remained a resident until May 15, 2011, according to a complaint filed March 15 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

The defendants' actions caused Sarah Bunting to lose her personal dignity and extreme and unnecessary pain, degradation, anguish, otherwise unnecessary hospitalizations, disfigurement and emotional trauma, according to the suit.
Timothy Bunting claims the defendants were aware of systemic problems within New Martinsville Healthcare Center throughout Sarah Bunting's residency relating to resident care.
The defendants also violated the West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protection Act by using deception and false pretense and promises, according to the suit.
Timothy Bunting is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is being represented by James M. McHugh, Michael J. Fuller Jr. and D. Bryant Chaffin of the McHugh Fuller Law Group.
