PERSONNEL FILE: Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso announces management team and general counsel

CHARLESTON - Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso attorney Michael Bonasso was re-elected to a three-year term on the Firm’s Management Committee while continuing to serve as the Firm’s Managing Member.

Bonasso joins Mark A. Robinson and Christopher A. Brumley to comprise the firm’s three-person Management Committee. In addition, Jeffery M. Wakefield and Nathaniel K. Tawney have been appointed Firm General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel, respectively.

Bonasso, a founding member of Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso PLLC, has served as the Managing Member since the inception of the firm in 1991. He has overseen and managed the firm's growth from six lawyers to over 60 lawyers in three offices across West Virginia. He focuses his practice on complex litigation and product liability.

Robinson, a Member in the firm’s Charleston office, focuses his practice on medical liability and nursing home/extended care litigation involving legally and medically complex issues. Robinson serves as Chair of FSB’s Long Term Care Group.

Brumley, a Member in the firm’s Charleston office, focuses his practice on the defense of deliberate intent cases, representing employers in the coal, oil and gas, timber, construction, mining and drilling industries. In addition, Brumley serves as Chair of the Workplace Liability Group and is responsible for the creation of M-RAM, an innovative program designed to assist coal industry operators and contractors in the ever-changing regulatory landscape.

Wakefield, a founding member of Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso, focuses his civil litigation practice in the areas of insurance coverage and defense, personal injury, mass tort and product liability. Additionally, Wakefield serves as Chair of FSB’s Business Litigation Group.

Tawney, a Member in the firm’s Charleston office, focuses his practice on the defense of deliberate intent cases, representing employers in the coal, oil and gas, timber, construction, mining and drilling industries. He also counsels clients on regulatory matters (OSHA and MSHA), preventative measures, and proper investigation and documentation of work-place accidents.
