* Uptowner is the owner and operator of a Holiday Inn & Suites in Huntington and it entered into a contract with the defendant in which the defendant was to provide goods and services for a remodel. Uptowner claims Builders failed to complete its contractual obligations in a timely and reasonable fashion. Uptowner is seeking compensatory damages.

Norman Ryder vs. Combs Construction Company Inc.; Multicoat Products Inc.; and Multicoat Corporation

* Ryder met with an employee of Multicoat regarding construction of the exterior of his residence and Multicoat recommended its "best installer," Combs, to install Hardiebacker cement board and stucco to the residence. Ryder claims throughout the course of the work, it became apparent to him that the stucco did not look as promised and attempted to work with the defendants to make sure the stucco appeared as promised, but they were never able to do so. Ryder is seeking unspecified damages.

Jason R. Burkhardt vs. the City of Huntington

* On March 21, Burkhardt applied for housing with the Huntington Housing Authority and, in conjunction with the application, the Housing Authority sought information from the Huntington Police Department concerning his criminal records. The police department negligently and/or intentionally reported false information concerning him and, in turn, caused Burkhardt to be disqualified from housing through the Housing Authority until Oct. 18, 2016, the suit claims. Burkhardt is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest.
