PERSONNEL FILE: W.Va. attorney named to IADC board

HUNTINGTON - Tammy White has been elected to the International Association of Defense Counsel Board of Directors. She is the first attorney from West Virginia to earn this honor.

She is one of nine board members, each class of three serves for a three-year term. Each member is elected by IADC peers.

The IADC membership is comprised of the world’s leading corporate and insurance lawyers and has been serving a distinguished membership since 1920. Tammy is a senior litigator in Farrell, White & Legg PLLC’s medical malpractice, health law and product liability litigation sections. She was the first female trial lawyer from West Virginia to be elected to the International Association of Defense Counsel.

With a nursing degree from The Ohio State University, she had 10 years of experience as a critical care and oncology nurse and hospital administrator before her distinguished legal career. In 2011, Tammy completed a Masters’ in Public Health from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore with an emphasis in health care economics and population-based problem-solving.
