Buffalo Wild Wings blamed for injuries

CHARLESTON - A woman who allegedly slipped and fell at Buffalo Wild Wings is suing the restaurant's owner for her injuries.

Stonewall Investors LLC is doing business as Buffalo Wild Wings.

On Sept. 22, Sherri Edens slipped and fell in a puddle of water that had accumulated on the floor of the restaurant, causing her to fall and break her leg, according to a complaint filed June 21 in Kanawha Circuit Court.

Edens claims the water that caused her to fall was a hazardous condition not readily apparent to her and was present for a sufficient period of time to allow the defendant adequate and reasonable opportunity to remedy the hazardous condition.

The defendant owed a duty of reasonable care under all of the circumstances to provide a reasonably safe premises for customers, according to the suit.

Edens claims the defendant's negligence caused her to suffer injury to her leg, requiring medical treatment for which she incurred necessary and reasonable medical expenses and lost wages; great pain and suffering; loss of enjoyment of life; and other such damages.

Edens is seeking compensatory damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by Scott H. Kaminski of Balgo & Kaminski LC.

The case has been assigned to Circuit judge Paul Zakaib Jr.
