MARTINSBURG - Bowles Rice attorney Jeffrey Poulin received the 2012-2013 Emerging Leader Award from the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle at its annual dinner in July.
Poulin, an associate in the regional law firm's Martinsburg office, managed the mega food drive held in conjunction with UWEP's Day of Caring. More than 2,000 pounds of food were collected and donated to the emergency food banks of Jefferson County Community Ministries and Loaves and Fishes in Martinsburg.
During the awards banquet, the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle honored its donors, volunteers and partner agencies. In addition to recognizing Poulin, United announced Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races as the recipient of the organization's Gold Award for the corporation with the highest level of giving.
The Macy's Inc. fulfillment center received the Emerging Business Award.
