Gilbert woman sues Peebles, alleges fall

Lambert

LOGAN - A Gilbert woman is suing over claims that unsafe conditions at a Peebles caused her to trip and fall.

Beulah Poe filed a lawsuit on May 29 in the Circuit Court of Logan County against Stage Stores Inc., doing business as Peebles and Peebles Inc., Specialty Retailers Inc. and John Doe, citing negligence.

Poe says on May 31, 2011, she suffered serious injuries when she tripped and fell on an area of the retail floor while she was shopping in the defendant's store at 321 Stratton St., Logan.

The accident happened because a store display was on a platform, which made the retail floor uneven, according to the complaint.

The plaintiff is seeking an undetermined amount in damages. She is being represented by Gilbert attorney Pamela A. Lambert.

Circuit Court of Logan County Case No. 13-C-141.
