CHARLESTON - Michael J. Farrell has been appointed to the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.
The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission is responsible for developing, establishing and overseeing the implementation of a public policy agenda for all of West Virginia’s four-year colleges and universities. The commission is responsible for the oversight of higher education institutions to ensure they accomplish their missions and implement the provisions set by state statute.
Mike served as Interim President of Marshall University in 2005. He has served a total of 11 years on the Marshall University Board of Governors and its predecessor Advisory Board.
As the founding and managing member Farrell, White & Legg PLLC in Huntington, he is a distinguished trial lawyer, author, lecturer, bar and educational leader.
Elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, he also has been recognized by Chambers USA as an outstanding Tier 1 litigator. His current practice concentrates on complex litigation involving products liability, mass torts, commercial and employment litigation.
