WHEELING - A West Virginia couple are suing over claims that unsafe conditions at Wheeling Hospital caused a slip-and-fall.
Jack and Charolette Nelson filed a lawsuit Feb. 6 in the Circuit Court of Ohio County against Wheeling Hospital Inc., citing negligence and loss of consortium.
The Nelsons allege on Feb. 1, 2012, Jack Nelson suffered serious injuries when he slipped and fell on the defendant's premises, located at 1 Medical Park in Wheeling.
The accident happened when Jack Nelson walked into the bathroom and slipped on water or fluid on the bathroom floor, according to the complaint. The complaint states that the Nelsons are also claiming loss of consortium.
The plaintiffs are seeking an undetermined amount in damages. They are being represented by Wheeling attorneys Lester C. Hess Jr. and Anthony I. Werner.
