RIPLEY - A Jackson County woman is alleging her order a Burger King franchise was certainly not made her way.
Delton Restaurants, Inc., and Tyson Foods, Inc. are named as co-defendants in personal injury lawsuit filed by Karen Evans Gorrell.
In her suit filed Aug. 20, Gorrell, 63 and a Ravenswood resident, alleges the Vienna-based franchisee of the Burger King restaurant in Ripley and the Springdale, Ark.-based argribusiness that supplies it are responsible for her making an unplanned visit to the dentist two years ago.
According to the suit, Gorrell on Aug. 20, 2011 placed an order that included chicken fingers. Later, Gorrell alleges she “broke a tooth when she bit into the chicken finger and struck a foreign object situate therein.”
The foreign object is not specified in court records. However, Gorrell maintains that the object in the chicken finger caused damage to her teeth, pain and suffering and unnecessary dental bills.
Along with recovery of court costs and attorneys fees, Gorrell seeks judgment against Delton and Tyson for $10,000. She is represented by St. Marys attorney Keith White.
The case is assigned to Judge Thomas C. Evans III.
