Plaintiffs claim problems with Chevrolet Cruze

Cruze

KINGWOOD - Cynthia and Robert Ennis are suing General Motors LLC, alleging the car they bought was defective and General Motors will not honor their warranty.

The plaintiffs claim they bought a new Chevrolet Cruze in 2011, and started having problems with it from the beginning. Their lawsuit was filed Jan. 14 in Preston County Circuit Court.

The plaintiffs claim they took the car into the authorized dealer for repairs on numerous occasions, but the car never functioned properly.

According to the filing, the plaintiffs' defective car is under both an implied and a written warranty, but the defendant will not honor either.

The plaintiffs are suing the defendant for breach of warranty and are seeking compensatory damages. Michael S. Bailey of Bailey & Howard in Barboursville is representing the plaintiffs in the suit.

Preston County Circuit Court case number 13-C-4.
