PERSONNEL FILE: Jackson Kelly attorney elected to leadership position at university

CHARLESTON – Jessica Alsop of Jackson Kelly PLLC has been elected to the University of Charleston’s Board of Trustees.

Alsop is a Member of the firm's Charleston office. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, financings and energy transactions.

She regularly represents companies in the purchase, sale and financing of mineral rights and related plant and equipment. In addition to serving as a Trustee for the University of Charleston, Alsop is a member of the Board of Directors of the Children's Therapy Clinic and the Treasurer for the John A. Field, Jr., American Inns of Court.

She is also a graduate of the Leadership West Virginia and the Charleston Chamber of Commerce Leadership Charleston programs.

The University of Charleston is a private college with approximately 1,400 students from 31 states and 26 countries. The University’s main campus is located in Charleston, W.Va.
