Construction company takes action over Weirton property

WHEELING - An Ohio company is suing over interest in a Weirton property after allegedly failing to receive payment for construction services.

Kokosing Construction Co. Inc. filed a lawsuit Sept. 16 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia at Wheeling against Go Green America Recycling LLC and Center Point Terminal Co. LLC.

The plaintiff claims it performed construction services at a Weirton property for Weirton Area Port Authority Inc., which has failed and refused to pay $513,349.94 in accordance with the parties' contract.

The plaintiff claims the defendants have liens against and interest in that property, and the company is seeking $513,349.94 from the defendants as well as other relief.

The company is being represented by Morgantown attorney Charles J. Crooks.
