WHEELING - An Ohio County woman claims she hasn't been paid for accrued vacation, sick and comp time from her former employer.

Theresa L. Garrett filed a lawsuit Sept. 9 in the Circuit Court of Ohio County against the City of Wheeling. Garrett claims the defendant has failed and refused to pay for balances of vacation, sick and personal time that she is owed, in accordance with the West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act.

She was employed by the defendant from 1987 until her retirement, which was effective July 31.

The plaintiff is suing for an undetermined amount of relief.

Garrett is being represented by Parkersburg attorney Walt Auvil.
