PINEVILLE - Wyoming County residents are suing over claims that an unsafe sidewalk caused a trip-and-fall accident.
Parthena and Sid Cook filed a lawsuit Jan. 31 in the Circuit Court of Wyoming County against Harless Pit Stop Inc., citing negligence.
The plaintiffs allege on Aug. 25, 2011, Parthena Cook sustained serious injuries when she tripped on an uneven portion of the sidewalk at Harless Pit Stop located in Wyoming County.
According to the complaint, at least one area the sidewalk is significantly higher than the surrounding sidewalk, creating a trip hazard.
The plaintiffs are seeking an undisclosed amount in damages. They are being represented by Hoosier Law Firm PLLC in Charleston.
