NEW CUMBERLAND - A woman is suing after she allegedly tripped on concrete at convenience store.
Jennifer L. Foster, individually, Jennifer L. Foster and Michael S. Foster, husband and wife and Jennifer L. Foster as Natural Parent and Legal Guardian of Meghan Foster and Britney Foster filed a lawsuit Aug. 27 in Circuit Court of Hancock County against Haggs-Christian Corp., doing business as Convenient Food Mart No. 3879, citing negligence, spoliation, loss of spousal consortium and parental consortium.
Foster says that on Sept. 21, 2011, she suffered serious injury when she tripped and fell on concrete while at Convenient Food Mart in Weirton. She alleges that the concrete was busted, creating a tripping hazard.
The complaint also claims that the defendant has altered its premises to destroy evidence.
Foster is seeking damages to fully compensate her for her injuries and other damages, plus costs. The plaintiff is being represented in the case by Weirton attorney Dean G. Makricostas at Dittmar Taylor & Makricostas PLLC.
