BECKLEY - A woman is suing after she allegedly slipped and fell while shopping at a Raleigh County Walmart.
Lisa Marie Rudy filed a lawsuit Oct. 1 in the Circuit Court of Raleigh County against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 2, 2011, Rudy was a customer at a Walmart in Raleigh County. Rudy says she was walking through the clothing department when she allegedly stepped on a hidden plastic clothes hanger causing her to slip and fall to the ground.
She says she sustained serious injuries as a result of her fall.
Rudy is seeking an undisclosed amount of damages for her injuries, plus costs and attorney's fees. She is being represented in the case by J. Mingo Winters.
