CHARLESTON - A Kanawha County woman is suing Wok & Roll of Charleston LLC after she claims she was harassed during her employment.
John Song and John Doe were also named as defendants in the suit.
Lisa Tuttle was employed as a service worker for Wok & Roll for a short time in 2013 and during the course of her employment, she consistently performed her duties in a satisfactory manner and met the defendants' reasonable expectations, according to a complaint filed Sept. 19 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Tuttle claims she was harassed by Doe, who made unwanted physical contact with her and requested or suggested sexual favors.
Tuttle continued to work at Wok & Roll, as she had no other options to find employment, but was ultimately forced to leave her employment due to Song and Doe's conduct, according to the suit.
Tuttle claims the defendants violated the West Virginia Human Rights Act.
The defendants' actions were willful and malicious and caused Tuttle damages, according to the suit.
Tuttle is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. She is being represented by D. Adrian Hoosier II of the Hoosier Law Firm PLLC.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman.
