HUNTINGTON - A Cabell County many is suing Primecare of West Virginia Inc. after he claims he was assaulted by correctional officers at Western Regional Jail.
Jane Does 1 through 6 have also been named as defendants in the suit.
Eddie Dennison is an Ohio resident and was incarerated in Cabell County from Oct. 27, 2012, through Oct. 29, 2012, according to a complaint filed Oct. 25 in Cabell Circuit Court.
Dennison claims he was under the care of Primecare in the Western Regional Jail and the unknown and unnamed defendants committed multiple assaults upon him when they intentionally and recklessly conspired with and aided correctional officers employed by Western Regional Jail in putting the plaintiff in reasonable fear of immediate, unwanted and offensive physical strikes to his person.
The defendants' assaults upon Dennison caused him injuries, including physical injuries; pain and suffering; medical bills; loss of enjoyment of life; and emotional distress, according to the suit.
Dennison claims the women, while in the scope of their employment, and Primecare, committed multiple batteries upon him.
The defendants caused Dennison severe emotional distress, according to the suit.
Dennison is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre- and post-judgment interest. He is being represented by Jason Goad of Goad Law Firm.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge F. Jane Hustead.
