FAYETTEVILLE - A woman is suing after she was injured while in the care of a nursing home.
Francis Peck filed a lawsuit Nov. 9 in Fayette County Circuit Court against Genesis Healthcare LLC and Lynn Elliott.
Peck says she was a resident at Genesis Healthcare and on May 19, she suffered serious injuries when she was dropped while nursing home staff was assisting her to the restroom. She alleges the defendants were negligent and breached their standard of care.
Peck is seeking an undisclosed amount of compensatory and punitive damages. She is being represented in the case by attorney Greg A. Hewitt of Hewitt & Salvatore.
