CHARLESTON - A woman is suing the West Virginia Department of Transportation after she claims she was sexually harassed by her supervisors.
Kimberly Ann Meadows was employed by WVDOT and on numerous occasions, Howard Mullens and Raymond E. Larzo sexually harassed her, according to a complaint filed Nov. 4 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
Meadows claims despite the harassment and other offensive assaults on other employees, Mullens continues to be employed by WVDOT.
On Aug. 10, 2012, Meadows was constructively discharged from her employment, according to the suit.
Meadows claims the defendant's actions and/or inactions constitute sexual harassment and/or created a hostile work environment for her, in violation of the West Virginia Human Rights Act.
As a direct and proximate result of the defendant's actions, Meadows is entitled to damages for emotional distress, indignity, embarrassment, humiliation, annoyance and inconvenience, according to the suit.
Meadows is seeking compensatory and punitive damages with pre-judgment interest. She is being represented by Mark A. Atkinson of Atkinson & Polak PLLC.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge James C. Stucky.
