PERSONNEL FILE: Bowles Rice adds two attorneys

CHARLESTON - Attorneys Jennifer N. Williams and Ryan S. Welsch have joined the regional law firm Bowles Rice LLP.

Williams will serve in the firm’s Parkersburg office, while Welsch will work in the firm’s Southpointe office, located in Canonsburg, Pa.

Williams joins as Special Counsel in the firm’s Litigation department. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia, Ohio and Illinois. She received her law degree from the University of Akron School of Law (2003) and earned a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology and Russian from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.

Before joining Bowles Rice, Ms. Williams practiced for five years in Chicago, where she focused on title litigation and title curative work pertaining to tax deeds, complex legal descriptions, partitions, encroachments and lien priority.

She also previously served as administrative hearing officer for the Washington County Child Support Agency in Marietta, Ohio, and practiced law in Parkersburg from 2004 to 2007. Williams worked as a title examiner for Title First Agency in Parkersburg and served as law clerk to the City of Akron (Ohio) Law Department, Civil Division, before beginning her career as an attorney.

Welsch, who is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, joins the firm as an associate in the firm’s Energy Department. He received his law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law (2013) and received his bachelor of science degree in finance from The Pennsylvania State University.

Bowles Rice has 135 attorneys and eight regional offices located in Charleston, Martinsburg, Morgantown, Moundsville and Parkersburg; Southpointe; Lexington, Ky.; and Winchester, Va.
