FAYETTEVILLE -- A Fayette County electrical supply company is suing an electrical contracting firm, alleging unpaid goods and services.

State Electric Supply Company filed lawsuit 8 July in Fayette Circuit Court against Payne's Electrical Contracting Inc. and Patrick Payne in Fayetteville, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, in August 2003, the defendants filed for an extension on a line of credit with State Electric. They were granted the extension, the suit says, but failed to make payments from April 2014 through February 2015, despite receiving goods and services from the company.

State Electric Supply Company seeks nearly $14,000 in owed money and interest, along with legal costs. It is represented by attorney Ryan Marsteller of Huntington's Bailes, Craig & Yon in Huntington. Circuit Judge Paul Blake, Jr. has been assigned to the case.

Fayette Circuit Court case number 15-c-170.
