Carwreck

HUNTINGTON – A Wayne man is suing Target Drilling Inc. after he claims he was injured in a motor vehicle accident.

Robert H. Sommerville also was named as a defendant in the suit.

On July 22, 2013, Daryl Bradley was a passenger in a motor vehicle traveling east on Interstate 64 in Huntington when Sommerville, who was operating a Kenworth carrier owned by Target Drilling was also traveling east on Interstate 64, according to a complaint filed in Cabell Circuit Court.

Bradley claims as the vehicle he was riding in passed the Kenworth truck, the driver side front tire of the truck blew out, causing Sommerville to lose control and strike the vehicle occupied by Bradley.

The vehicle Bradley was in spun and was knocked off the road, according to the suit.

Bradley claims Sommerville failed to maintain control of the carrier he was operating and was otherwise negligent.
